
Sean McMullen is an Australian science fiction and fantasy author with 25 books and 100 stories professionally published, and one short film. He has won several awards, has been nominated for the Hugo and BSFA awards, and has had his work translated into over a dozen languages. He was a joint author of the history of Australian SF, Strange Constellations, and has more recently completed a history of New Zealand's SF and fantasy with Simon Litten. Aside from writing, he has worked for the Australian Bureau of Meteorology for 33 years, and is deputy chief instructor at the Melbourne University Karate Club.
