H.G. Parry is the author of The Unlikely Escape of Uriah Heep (2019), A Declaration of the Rights of Magicians (2020), and several short stories with similarly unwieldy titles. She holds a PhD in English Literature from Victoria University of Wellington, and has taught English Literature, Film, and Media Studies. She now lives in a book-infested house on the Kāpiti Coast which she shares with her sister, a cat, three guinea pigs, and two over-active rabbits.
