Eric Picholle is a research physicist with the French CNRS and the University of the French Riviera (Université Côte d'Azur). He's also interested in the philosophy of science and in science fiction studies, and organizes the annual French workshops "Sciences & Fiction in Peyresq" & "Teaching & Science Fiction". A SFWA associate member, he has published several rather hard short stories, both in French and in English, including some YA stories. Together with co-author Ugo Bellagamba, he received the 2009 Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire award for a non fiction book on Robert Heinlein, _Solutions non satisfaisantes_
