In the hands of Greg Broadmore, the imaginary becomes reality. As Studio Director for Weta Workshop’s games studio, Greg’s artistic visions have been brought to life in spatial computing. This trailblazing technology allows the wearer to see virtual content interact with the real world and can be experienced by donning a Magic Leap One.
Since the launch of Dr. Grordbort’s Invaders, the flagship game for the device, Greg has been leading a team of 55 strong game developers through this new medium of storytelling. Having just released their latest game, Boosters, the studio continues to explore new ways of creating interactive experiences within spatial computing.
Before delving into games, Greg was best-known for creating the world of Dr. Grordbort —a retro-sci-fi world of elaborate rayguns, rocketships and inter-planetary colonialism. Since 2002, Greg has worked at Weta Workshop as a designer, artist/sculptor and writer. He was the lead concept designer on District 9
