Robinne Weiss is a writer, educator and entomologist. She writes fiction and non-fiction for children and adults, and enjoys inserting dragons into modern-day landscapes and imagining insects taking over the world (she’s pretty certain they’ve already done this anyway). Her books include The Dragon Slayer’s Son, The Dragon Slayer’s Daughter, The Dragon Defence League, The Ipswich Witch, A Glint of Exoskeleton, Insects in the Classroom and Backyard Bugwatcher. Robinne’s short stories have appeared in the anthology Te Kōrero Ahi Kā, and her poems in the anthology Peace Corps in Panama: Fifty Years, Many Voices. She also contributed two chapters to Putting the Science in Fiction. Robinne writes from her sunny office in rural New Zealand.
