Sharon Diane King holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and is a character actor for film and TV. Scholarly publications include essays in the anthologies Of Bread, Blood and The Hunger Games and The Last Midnight: Critical Essays on Apocalyptic Narratives in Millennial Media. An Associate of UCLA’s Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, she organized the interdisciplinary conference “The Comic Supernatural” in 2017 and will head the international symposium on “Law and Disorder” in 2021. Her medieval theatre troupe Les Enfans Sans Abri has performed short 13th-17th-century comedies in original translation or adaptation for the past 30 years. Her speculative fiction has been featured in Kaleidotrope, Galaxy’s Edge Magazine, in anthologies by Third Flatiron Press, Dragon’s Roost Press, and in the collection The Internet Is Where The Robots Live Now. She and her husband dote on a bevy of small dragons under the pretext of reptile rescue.
