“There is no spoon”: Examining fight sequences in contemporary Hollywood Science Fiction films

the paper will provide a better understanding of how the performance art of fight choreography is shaped by the conventions of the science fiction genre. It will also examine how fight directors sometimes subvert the audience expectations of the genre.
