How:

Despite universal health care in Canada, significant disparities, including risk factors, access to healthcare, morbidity, and mortality, continue in vulnerable populations. The underlying causes of these health disparities are associated with social, economic, cultural and political inequities. You want to get involved locally to provide eye care to those who most need it but don’t know where to start? Join an interactive discussion on how to take impactful and socially responsible actions to promote access and provision of eye care to vulnerable groups. We will review how to assess eye care needs and integrate appropriate approaches to bridge eye health gaps.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Assess the eye care needs of various vulnerable groups in Canada
