In your busy ophthalmology clinic, when the next patient is a new case of nystagmus or binocular diplopia, you may say, “great, I know what to do!” … or you could say “I would love to have a step by step approach” to appropriately evaluate and manage my patient. If you picked the latter, then this workshop is exactly what you are looking for. We will discuss how to approach such patients in a practical and logical manner, recognize important presentations, and steps you need to take to investigate and manage your patient. We aim for this to be a fun and cozy workshop that relies on case-based instruction and lively discussion, with the ultimate goal of improving your ability to comfortably evaluate such patients.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe a step by step clinical approach to nystagmus

  • Recognize urgent presentations and identify key points in management
