My Session Status
When:
5:30 PM, Saturday 26 Jun 2021
(1 hour 30 minutes)
Themes:
GlaucomaNeuro-ophthalmology
This workshop will highlight a series of ambiguous cases where the
diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and/or neuro-ophthalmic conditions are
being considered. The audience will participate by voting for either the
diagnosis or treatment of the condition, followed by a discussion among a panel
of glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmology experts.
These cases will highlight the critical and complementary role of optic nerve head, retinal nerve fiber layer, ganglion cell analysis, visual fields, optic nerve exam and other clinically relevant information. The unique nature of the session is to discuss the crossroads of glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmic pathology in the setting of OCT interpretation.
Learning ObjectivesAt the end of this session, participants are able to:
- Demonstrate when OCT is a useful tool for glaucoma management
- Demonstrate when OCT is a useful tool for neuro-ophthalmology management
- Assess OCT quality and date without relying on summary statistics
