Anterior Segment Lumps and Bumps

This module will review the overall management of common and uncommon lesions of the eyelid, conjunctiva and cornea. The focus will be on recognition of the various types of lesions in clinic, pearls of wisdom regarding management, as well as practical guidelines for decisions around treatment versus referral.

Learning objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to: 

  • Recognize common and uncommon eyelid, conjunctival and corneal lesions
  • Describe techniques for treatment of common eyelid, conjunctival and corneal lesions
  • Refine their ability to identify lesions that require observation, biopsy, and referral for treatment
