Glaucoma 101 - Things You Cannot Miss

This module will be an interactive session reviewing the fundamentals of glaucoma with an emphasis on diagnosis, staging and target setting. Risk factors will be revisited and their role in modifying target IOPs and frequency of follow up will be discussed.

Learning objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Review the principles behind making a diagnosis of glaucoma
  • Review the principles for staging glaucomatous optic neuropathy
  • Review target setting and follow up frequency for glaucomatous optic neuropathy

CPD credits

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Canadian Ophthalmological Society. Physicians may claim a maximum of 1.5 Section 1 credits.
