Mohammad Mubarak

Mohammed Mubarak, formerly known as Anthony Quisenberry, was born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in Compton, CA. The late John Huggins recruited Mubarak to join the LA Chapter of the Black Panther Party in 1968 at the age of 16. He became the photographer for the Party, working alongside Elaine Brown, Geronimo Ji Jagga Pratt and the Freeman brothers. Mohammad was featured in the documentary, The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution, and is an accomplished portrait artist.
