Joan Meyerson

Joan Meyerson has an extensive background as a Writer/Director/Producer of a wide variety of nonfiction television programming.  Her many credits include the mini-series, Things That Go Bump (Discovery Health); Legends, Icons and Superstars (CBS Eye on People), Hunt for Amazing Treasures, (TLC);  and ZooLife with Jack Hanna,(Synd). For PBS, her writing credits include Walking the Bible, Japan: Memoirs of a Secret Empire, and The National Memorial Day Concert, for which she won two Writers Guild Awards for Outstanding Script. 
 
Meyerson is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and attended its Graduate School of History.  As a long-term member of the Writers Guild of America West, Meyerson served five terms on the Guild’s Board of Directors. and was a founding co-chair of the WGA Nonfiction Writers Caucus. She is also a member of the DGA, and a former member of both the Board of Directors of the IDA and Women In Film.
