Here’s What Really Happened – Audrie & Daisy

13:30, Tuesday 27 Sep 2016 (1 hour 10 minutes)
NeueHouse Hollywood - Screening Room
Registration required - filmmaker-only session

Bonni Cohen (who directed with Jon Shenk) and Richard Berge (who produced with Sara Dosa), join us to discuss behind-the-scenes tales from the producing and releasing of  Audrie & Daisy.   The discussion will dive into topics such as the film’s road from Sundance to an online worldwide exclusive release, changes to the film’s animation sequences, collaborating on an original song with musician Tori Amos and integrating a community outreach and educational study guide into their distribution plans.  In addition, they will examine the legal and ethical issues around a judge’s ruling that called for the filmmakers to interview those responsible for the sexual assault described in the film and the challenges and responsibilities of working in subject matter where trauma has occurred.
