John Johns




John Johns has extensive experience in development (fundraising) having raised over $40 million dollars for capital projects in higher education, non-governmental organizations and religion. This includes funding to “drive on sunshine” to start the first applied research into replacing gasoline as a transportation fuel and the creation of tuition support for undocumented students. Previously he worked in television sales, the advertising agency business with Young and Rubicam, New York and professional baseball.

As a member of several human rights delegations, John’s goal is tell stories of the voiceless through film. Now, in his final term at LACC, he has started research on Martial Law Under Marcos: A Cautionary Tale as well another project on the causes of migration from Central America.
