ALEX ALBERS is a San Francisco based Freelance Video Editor.  Her passion is documentary filmmaking rooted in social change.


She has contributed on numerous documentaries including the 10-part Netflix crime series MAKING A MURDERER (2015),  Academy Award Winner, RESTREPO (2010), Sundance Winner: Honorable Mention, BORN SWEET (2010), and the recipient of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize A PLACE AT THE TABLE (2012).  She recently finished editing WOMEN'S MARCH (2017) a documentary about the 2017 Women's March featuring marchers in five cities across the United States.  


She is currently assistant editing on Q Ball, a Fox Sports Documentary that follows incarcerated basketball players in San Quentin State Prison (Executive Producer, Kevin Durant).


Her work has screened nationally at such festivals as Frameline Film Festival, SCAD Savannah Film Festival, and Awareness Film Festival Festival as well at internationally at Sydney Queer Screen (AUS), Transitions Film Festival (AUS) and Cinema Queer (Sweden).


In addition to longer form documentary work, Alex specializes in short form video, specifically short documentary, promotional videos, and music videos.
