Ashley O'Shay

Ashley O’Shay is a DP and documentarian based in Chicago, IL. She has produced work for national brands, including Don Julio, Ford Motor Company, Boost Mobile, Blavity, and STATE Bags. She recently served as the DP for “Pangaea,” a short independent film depicting the life of a young girl eight days after Hurricane Katrina, shot on location in New Orleans. “Pangaea” went on to tour a fruitful festival circuit, as well as receiving national syndication on WORLD Channel’s Afropop. As a projectionist at the Gene Siskel Film Center, Ashley preps and presents independent film to an annual audience of 80,000 people. Currently, she is directing and producing Unapologetic, a documentary that serves as an intimate peek into the Movement for Black Lives through the experiences of two young, Black queer women.
