Reid Davenport is an award-winning documentarian who has made numerous films featuring people with disabilities. He gave a 2017 TED Talk about the mission of Through My Lens, an organization he co-founded that is dedicated to disrupting disability portrayal in the media. His films have been shown across the country and around the world, and have gained prominent media attention from PBS, NPR, Forbes Magazine, the BBC and the Washington Post. He is writer and host of Basic Able, a podcast that uses irreverent humor to tackle disability issues.  Reid distributes three of his short films through New Day Films. He received a Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Film & Video from Stanford University in 2016.
