I am a senior program officer in the Division of Public Programs at the National Endowment for the Humanities (www.neh.gov). I  manage grants for films, radio programs, museum exhibits, digital projects, and public engagement. I joined the NEH in 2000 after teaching history, media studies and production at George Mason University. I hold a Ph.D. in American studies from the University of Maryland College Park and am the author of two books: The Forgotten Network: DuMont and the Birth of American Television (2004) and The Eddie Cantor Story: A Jewish Life in Performance and Politics (2017).
