Molly Thompson is Senior Vice President, Feature Films at A+E Studios and the founder and head of A&E IndieFilms, the feature documentary production arm of A+E Networks. Since its inception in 2005, A&E IndieFilms has garnered three Academy Award nominations for Cartel Land, Murderball and Jesus Camp, Sundance wins in several categories for Life, Animated, Cartel Land, American Teen and The September Issue, along with hundreds of other awards and nominations. Molly also serves as executive producer on documentaries produced under the History Films banner (including Cave of Forgotten Dreams, No Place on Earth and The Unknown Known: The Life and Times of Donald Rumsfeld) and has executive produced two narrative features for Lifetime Films—2015’s Lila & Eve, starring Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez, and the upcoming Paris Can Wait, starring Diane Lane and Alec Baldwin.
