
Lyn Goldfarb is an Academy Award-nominated and multiple award-winning Director, Producer and Writer specializing in historical and social issue documentaries for PBS and major cable.
Goldfarb’s documentaries include: BRIDGING THE DIVIDE: TOM BRADLEY AND THE POLITICS OF RACE; THE NEW LOS ANGELES; and WITH BABIES AND BANNERS; and episodes of THE GREAT WAR, THE GREAT DEPRESSION and PEOPLE IN MOTION series. She was a creator of the series: CALIFORNIA AND THE AMERICAN DREAM; JAPAN: MEMOIRS OF A SECRET EMPIRE; and THE ROMAN EMPIRE IN THE FIRST CENTURY. Goldfarb also produces short films for museums, exhibitions and non-profits.
She has received numerous grants for her films including: the National Endowment for the Humanities, California Humanities, Ford Foundation and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Her awards and festivals include: two Emmy Awards; a George Foster Peabody Award; two du-Pont Columbia Awards; a Golden Mike; a CINE Golden Eagle; four Bronze Tellys; a Blue Ribbon and Emily Grand Prize, American Film Festival; Los Angeles Film Festival; Nosotros American Latino Film Festival; the Pan African Film Festival and the March on Washington Film Festival.
