I'm the executive director of Freep Film Festival, a documentary-focused fest produced by the Detroit Free Press, which is Michigan's largest news organization. The festival is heading into it sixth year, with the next edition arriving April 10-14, 2019.
I'm also the arts & entertainment editor at the Free Press, where I oversee all the cultural coverage at the paper and its website, freep.com.
Additionally: I was an associate producer on "12th and Clairmount," an award-winning 2017 documentary about the '67 riot/rebellion in Detroit, a project that was led by the Free Press' photo/video department.
I'm also a co-producer and co-director on an impending documentary about the life and work of writer-outdoorsman-gourmand Jim Harrison.
