David Sutcliffe

David Felix Sutcliffe is an Emmy Award-winning producer and director whose work investigates systemic racism and the gaps between American principles and policiesHis film (T)ERROR (Sundance 2015), co-directed with Lyric R. Cabral, is the first documentary to capture an active FBI entrapment terror sting and won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Investigative Documentary. He has more than a decade of experience reporting on the failures of the U.S. war on terror and the social and judicial manifestations of Islamophobia. He was a consulting producer on Jonathan Olshefski's QUEST (Sundance 2017) and Stephen Maing's CRIME + PUNISHMENT (Sundance 2018). He is now producing the directorial debuts of Débora Souza Silva (BLACK MOTHERS, recipient of the Garrett Scott Documentary Development Grant) and Nehad Khader (TFI-supported UNBOWED). He has been a Fellow at the Sundance Institute's Creative Producing Lab and the Edit and Story Lab, and is currently a Soros Equality Fellow, a recipient of a Pew Arts Fellowship and a recent graduate of the Anne Braden Anti-Racist Training Program.
