Helki Frantzen
Cinematographer
Helki Frantzen is a documentary cinematographer and director based in Los Angeles. She regularly films award winning news and documentary programming for PBS SoCal, and has DP’d an assortment of films for documentary directors, including Irene Lusztig, Joanna Sokolowski and Kate Trumbull-LaValle, Sara Newens, Jongsma/O’Neill and Theo Rigby.
Her work as cinematographer appears on PBS SOCAL, Vice News, Frontline and the Atlantic and has been screened at Camden International Film Festival, DOC NYC, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, and Short of the Week, and she is the recipient of a Los Angeles Press Club Award.
