Rebecca Day is a freelance producer and qualified psychotherapist. She began her producing career with the Scottish Documentary Institute (SDI) in 2008, where she produced her first short documentary, Peter in Radioland, nominated for seven awards, including a European Academy Award, developed several features and worked on innovative outreach and audience engagement campaigns for SDI, most notably the successful campaign around award winning documentary, I Am Breathing and Seven Songs for a Long Life.

She recently qualified as a person-centred psychotherapist and has is launching Film In Mind, a company specialising in offering therapeutic support and consultation to the documentary community. She is also producing two feature docs, Becoming Animal, about our human relationship with nature, (directed by Emma Davie & Peter Mettler, March 2018); and Silent Men, about men’s mental health (directed by Duncan Cowles, in development).
