Cheryl Green, MFA, MS
is a multi-media digital artist, closed captioner, audio describer, and 2017 AIR New
Voices Scholar. She brings her own lived experience with multiple invisible cognitive
and physical disabilities to creating media that explores intersectional stories, politics, and culture from disability communities that go beyond medical narratives. She audio records her written blog and transcribes her podcast to increase access for a range of potential audiences. She also consults with media makers on how to build in technical and artistic consideration for Deaf and disability access from pre-production through post-production. A short version of her 2016 documentary "Who Am I To Stop It" won the 2018 Disability Justice Award from Superfest Disability Film Festival. Cheryl is an audio producer for the Disability
Visibility Podcast and a Member-Owner at New Day Films.
