Elizabeth Ai

Elizabeth Ai writes and produces long and short from narrative, documentary, and branded content for companies such as ESPN, VICE, and National Geographic Channels for which she and her team have multi-nominations and have won a News & Documentary Emmy for Outstanding Promotional Announcement. She is currently directing and producing, In the Shadow of the Hills, a longitudinal documentary tracking how modernity is affecting the culture and lives of the indigenous Black Hmong tribes in Sapa, Vietnam. Additionally, she is writing and producing, A Woman's Work, a feature documentary that follows former NFL cheerleaders as they battle against the NFL for 50 years of wage theft and illegal employment practices. Her independent documentary and narrative projects are supported by: Sundance Institute, Rockefeller Institute, Berlinale, Tribeca Film Institute, Film Independent, National Association of Latino Independent Producers, Independent Television Service, Points North Institute, CNN, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. She received her B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Southern California, resides in Los Angeles, and geocaches in the backcountry.
