A Palestinian writer and filmmaker based in Palestine. She started as a short story writer, and worked as a teacher of English literature and translator before she started her career as an independent filmmaker. in 2002 she won a Chevening scholarship to study in the UK, and received her masters degree in Film and TV Production from the University of Bristol. She worked as a freelance director and producer and made several short films before she co-founded Collage Productions, an independent production house based in Palestine.

Dima made several documentaries, short and long: Good Morning Qalqilia, My Palestine, Hamourabi,  First Love,  Jerusalem  Neighbourhoods,  and others  that were selected  for several film festivals, and some were screened on Arab and European TVs. Her latest documentary, Emwas Restoring Memories won various prizes, among them the Bronze from the Bronze Medel from the 36th International URTI Grand Prix for Author’s Documentary.
