Amanda Burr

Amanda Burr is a consulting producer with BYkids, a non-profit that pairs documentary filmmakers with kids around the world to make a 30 minute film. The films screen in festivals around the world and have aired on PBS, Discovery Education and CBS Digital. 

She also produces with CABULA6 performance + film company, where she is in late-stage production on the documentary/performance film SONS OF DETROIT and developing a narrative film set in Detroit, both with writer/director Jeremy Xido. Recent producing credits include DEATH METAL ANGOLA, MAN SHOT DEAD, and the short doc/fiction hybrid "Solitary/Release."  For several years, she was the creative director for the digital learning company Nomadic Learning, where she wrote, directed, and produced over 50 animated short films. She has also worked as an associate programmer for the Tribeca Film Festival, a consultant with the Screenwriters Colony, a programmer for the Chicago Humanities Festival, and as a theater director. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and a current MFA in Writing candidate at Spalding University.
