In an era where allegations of fake news and filter bubbles seem to create alternative realities and threaten the basis of democracy, it’s more important than ever that our documentaries are factually correct, so we can (re-)build trust with our audiences. We will show what can happen if filmmakers and news organizations neglect to verify basic facts before publishingor for the sake of dramatic storytelling, omit important parts of the story.
