The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is a major funder of documentary films. Through the Division of Public Programs, the NEH has awarded more than $140 million over the last two decades to filmmakers. How does the NEH decide what to fund? How can Getting Real attendees determine whether their project is right for NEH? What are some tips for writing a successful NEH application? What’s new at the NEH? In this session, NEH program officer David Weinstein and several NEH-funded filmmakers will address these questions.
