What:
Panel
When:
12:00 PM, Wednesday 26 Sep 2018 (1 hour 30 minutes)
Where:
Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study - 1st Floor Conference Room
How:
Why co-create? Why now? What do co-creative methodologies offer to people working to make a more equitable and just world, shift narratives, and seek solutions to the world’s most pressing problems? The panel will explore the long, under-documented history of co-creation in documentary and journalism, looking at how it is understood today and how it can be applied in practice. How do media-makers work within communities with citizens, scholars, technologists and machines to not only interpret the world but change it? What are the new models for inter-disciplinary and inter-institutional practice?
