To tell the most urgent human rights stories of the day, filmmakers often work with sources who are vulnerable to law enforcement actions or retribution from some other player. When you're trying to elevate a story about human rights abuses, how do you protect people in the process? What are the filmmakers' responsibilities to these individuals? And how can they help protect against external threats, while maintaining journalistic integrity? Filmmakers, journalists and human rights experts discuss best practices and lessons learned for working with vulnerable populations.
