The Black Documentary Collective (BDC) was founded by the late, great documentarian St. Clair Bourne to support the artistic development and professional advancement of documentary media makers of African descent. The BDC supports its members through promotional efforts, fundraising and crowdfunding support, access to free and discounted educational, artistic, and professional development workshops, professional services, and networking events with our many partners, screenings, impact and engagement, referrals for jobs, distribution, and other opportunities. Our session will be part informational for the general public and prospective members; and the second part will be for active members to get updates on developing projects and visioning about the future of the organization. Until then, please visit us at to learn more, follow us on social media, and access the online BDC directory and catalog ( to connect with our talented members.

Closed Captioning available for this session. ASL interpretation available upon request.

This breakout is supported by ITVS.
