How:

Introducing Documentary Production in the Era of COVID-19, a brand-new online guide researched and written by Chanda Chevannes for the Documentary Organization of Canada (DOC) in response to calls from documentary filmmakers for more genre-specific pandemic guidance. This comprehensive online guide explores ethical considerations (Should I Shoot?); legalities (Can I Shoot?) and logistics (How Do I Shoot?), delves into illuminating case studies and provides practical resources

Chanda’s presentation of the guide will include a case-study with director/writer Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers followed by a Q&A.

The guide was created by DOC in partnership with the National Film Board of Canada, The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Directors Guild of Canada.

Closed Captioning available for this session. ASL interpretation available upon request.
