Twenty years since the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone there is no need to describe the immense impact of the novels, books, websites, merchandise, games and J.K. Rowling herself. In this session we take a critical look at the novels and ask such questions as, Was Hermione the hero and was she shafted? Was Mrs Weasley complicit in the childhood abuse of Harry? Does the concept of House Elves - and neglect of the House Elf Liberation Front - constitute racism?
