I have had the pleasure of being the Executive Director of Food Secure Canada since 2012. What a ride it has been to bring national food policy from the kitchen table to the Cabinet Table. I am passionate about our mission and determined to help grow this movement so we can have a real influence on policy. I have a background in international work: Human rights, climate change, biodiversity -- all kind of UN negotiations and civil society coalitions who are making the world a better place. I also have experience as a researcher, a public broadcaster, a mom, and as an executive on Parliament Hill and over a decade as a waitress and bartender.
