Ten years after the Commission sur l’avenir de l’agriculture et l’agroalimentaire au Québec (Commission on the Future of Agriculture and Agrifoods in Quebec), action and debate around food is regaining momentum. The province recently announced a Politique bioalimentaire (agriculture and agrifood policy) and there has been ambitious programming promoting healthy lifestyles. The well-established commitment to social economy is a foundation for the growing buzz around local food systems, and the commitment and dynamism of new farmers. Panelists will raise key issues and explore the future of food in Quebec.
