Recognizing and implementing the right to food in Canada would mark a fundamental shift in how we regulate our food system and address food insecurity. Food insecurity is not inevitable - and good law and policy grounded in a rights-based perspective can guarantee entitlements, respect rights and dignity, and ensure a more just Canada. Speakers will explore the scope, content and application of the right to food in Canada, to be followed by a Sunday morning strategy session on implementing the right.
