Urban agriculture is increasingly recognized as an avenue for creating opportunities for marginalized youth. Three Urban farm projects will share their approaches to fostering inner strength, and developing practical skills while building social awareness and empowerment for youth from Saskatoon, Thunder Bay, and Sudbury.
Participants can expect to learn about the opportunities for youth development that are presented by urban agriculture, how urban farming relates urban Indigenous realities, and how urban farming can strengthen youth leadership in communities.
