Lunchtime Chat: Building a Community-Campus Engagement Movement in Canada
Food movements in Canada have long had strong relationships and networks with academics – collaborating on research projects, student experiential learning opportunities and case studies to analyze and create innovative policy. Following several years of a large partnership-based research project on community-first approaches to community-campus engagement (See https://carleton.ca/communityfirst/), a diverse group representing academics and civil society organizations have come together to explore next steps in advancing a dynamic community-campus engagement movement that will strengthen communities across Canada.
