For over 10 years Sarah has both applied traditional and developed new remote sensing techniques for mapping, monitoring, and characterizing changes to Canadian ecosystems. She has both a BA and MSc in Physical Geography from Carleton University, and was recently accepted into the Department’s PhD program. Since 2014, she has worked as a Physical Scientist in the Landscape Science and Technology Division of Environment and Climate Change Canada, where much of her research has focused on wetlands and Synthetic Aperture Radar. Sarah is both a co-founder and contributor to @SistersofSAR on twitter, which focuses on showcasing and promoting the accomplishments of women in STEM, especially in remote sensing and radar remote sensing.
