Vanya Rakesh is a Senior Privacy and Security Consultant working CRANIUM, specialists in privacy, security and data management consultancy. Vanya has over 6 years of experience in the domain, having worked in the Netherlands as well as India. She has previously worked as a Policy Officer with Bengaluru-based think-tank the Centre for Internet and Society, where she contributed towards the intersection of technology and law by way of her work. In 2017 she joined the Privacy and Data Protection team of India's second-largest IT-company Infosys Ltd. as a Senior Analyst, where her work involved ensuring global compliance with privacy regulations. She is an Advanced LL.M. Graduate from Leiden University, specialising in Law and Digital Technologies, where she was awarded with the prestigious Leiden University Excellence Scholarship (LExS) for the Academic Year 2019-2020. She has been working as a Consultant for multiple international projects in the area of privacy and data security. She completed her Bachelors in Law and Humanities from Institute of Law, Nirma University, India in the year 2015.
