Thomas Philbeck

Project Lead, Fourth Industrial Revolution

Thomas D. Philbeck is a Global Leadership Fellow and the project lead
for the Fourth Industrial Revolution at the World Economic Forum. Before joining
the Forum, he served as assistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences
for the New York Institute of Technology. He has earned a PhD in interdisciplinary
humanities from Florida State University and an MBA from the Hautes Etudes
Commerciales (HEC) de Paris. His area of focus is the intersection between
technology, society, business and philosophy. Ever the explorer, he has lived in the
US, UK, Europe, Middle East and India working in various sectors.
Currently residing in Geneva, Switzerland, he is passionate about art, flying, science
fiction, education and the cosmos.
