Piet Lens

Prof.Dr.ir. Lens is established professor at National University Ireland Galway. He has (co-)authored over

550 scientific publications and edited nine book volumes. His awards include the IWA Publishing Award

(2002), a Marie Curie Excellence Grant (2004) and a nomination as IWA fellow (2010), IWA Distinguished

fellow (2015) and IBA fellow (2019). He is editor in chief of the journal Reviews in Environmental Science

and Bio/Technology, and serves on the editorial board of the journals Environmental Technology and

New Biotechnology. He also performs review functions for a further 10 peer review journals and 5

funding agencies
