As it was stated in the IoTWeek 2018, “the adoption of the IoT by Manufacturing is first and foremost a cultural and a management issue, rather than a technology issue”. Thus, this session is aimed to introduce projects and initiatives that deal with the deployment of IoT technologies in manufacturing and help developing the cultural and managerial framework. Experts from the industry, the academy, and the research on applied technologies will offer complementary views on the Industrial IoT to inspire a full leverage of new opportunities.
