Integrating IoT and Satcom

Satellites are playing a key role in driving the vision for a truly connected world, providing ubiquitous coverage and reliability in places no other terrestrial technology could, and thus, enabling new IoT applications across diverse market segments. While the potential of satellites for IoT in the 5G era are well re-cognised, to allow a smooth integration of IoT/M2M and Satcom systems, a lot of tweaking and optimizing is still required. This session will address such problem with particular emphasis to the M2MSAT project, funded by the European Space Agency (ESA).
