According to the Global research Institute IDC, the Brazilian IoT market will be worth $9bn this year, corresponding to 20% of the overall IT market in Brazil estimated $52bn.

The Danish Innovation Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil, is launching initiatives to support the expansion of IoT startups and R&D environments into this promising market. In this first activity, we focus on opportunities and the IoT landscape in Brazil with representatives from the Brazilian industry, IoT organizations and governmental institutions, including a Brazilian startup. The event will help interested companies and R&D environments to understand the potential for expanding into the Brazilian market, which has so far produced 8 unicorns (startups with an evaluation of more than $1bn).
