Dr Nandakishor Desai is a research fellow at the department of electrical and electronic engineering at the University of Melbourne. He obtained his PhD from the University of Melbourne in biomedical image analysis.  He has been working on developing novel machine learning solutions to automated digitisation of asset management and monitoring infrastructure. Further, he has worked with researchers from the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Medical as part of his PhD to develop innovative technological solutions for imaging markers from neurological diseases. He has also worked on developing smart solutions in wearable technology and investigating the application of the internet of things in healthcare. He is keen to explore the impact of asset management and digitisation on city infrastructure and overall management.
